The Alan B. Miller Medical Center is opening in Spring 2026 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This new state-of-the-art neighborhood hospital will be part of Universal Health Services' (UHS) growing regional network. The hospital will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building, and a helistop, spanning 365,000 square feet. It will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular, and Neurosurgical services, as well as outpatient services through its medical office buildings. The Phlebotomist role is a full-time position responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients, requiring proficiency in venipuncture and capillary puncture. The individual must adhere to laboratory policies for patient identification and specimen handling, providing care to patients from neonates to geriatrics. This role also involves cross-training in additional roles, floating to other departments as needed, and recognizing and responding to stroke alerts, including drawing blood for stroke panels and delivering specimens.
