About The Position

This position is responsible for drawing blood from patients, students, or research participants for medical tests, donations, or research studies. Phlebotomists ensure accurate collection, proper labeling, and safe handling of blood samples in compliance with laboratory and safety standards. Professionals in this field may specialize in drawing blood for tests, transfusions, donations, or research. This position is being filled for rotating day shifts. Final schedule arrangements are made at the discretion of the hiring manager, and may be subject to change. Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care areas. Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and require vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of a routine nature but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• 2 years of Phlebotomy experience in a complex healthcare setting.
• Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through training and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Drawing blood from patients, students, or research participants for medical tests, donations, or research studies.
• Ensuring accurate collection, proper labeling, and safe handling of blood samples in compliance with laboratory and safety standards.
• Managing and operating laboratory facilities used for research, teaching, or to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of disease.
• Ensuring equipment maintenance, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting quality control.

Benefits

• The pay range for this role is $16.31 - $25.28 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
