About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting healthcare providers, researchers, and patients by performing diagnostic testing and contributing to drug development solutions. The Phlebotomist will be the face of the company in a patient service center setting, providing exceptional customer service and performing skilled specimen collections. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
Exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Nice To Haves

1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
6 months or more experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
Current or prior LabCorp experience

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
