About The Position
Valley Medical Group is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their Laboratory team at the Northampton Health Center. This is a per diem position in a dynamic environment serving a diverse community. The role involves collecting blood from patients of all ages, requiring excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, and proficiency in computers and data entry.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program
- Previous customer service or medical office experience
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to collect blood from patients of all ages through venipuncture
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good customer service skills
- Proficient in computers, data entry, and the operation of equipment
Nice To Haves
- CPT preferred, but not required
- EMR experience preferred
- Athena experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Collecting samples from patients of all ages through venipuncture
- Processing and accessions of clinical specimens
- Checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting patients
