About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a hospital/inpatient setting in Lowell, Massachusetts. The role provides patient-facing service, performs specimen collections, and supports accurate processing and handling of patient and specimen information. The position offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization.

The schedule is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., three varied days per week, including every third weekend and rotating holidays. Travel to additional sites may be needed. The pay range is $22.00–$30.00 per hour; offers depend on skills, relevant experience, applicable degrees or certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• When substituting certification or a training program for work experience, the credential or program must be from an accredited agency.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of inpatient phlebotomy experience.
• Current or previous Labcorp experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
