About The Position

This Phlebotomist role is based at a Medical Office in Aurora, CO, and involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for various tests (drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests), performing accurate and timely data entry of patient information, processing billing and collecting payments, preparing specimens for testing and analysis, maintaining patient and specimen information logs, and providing superior customer service. The position also requires administrative and clerical duties as necessary and travel to additional sites when needed. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 6 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
