About The Position
Following established procedures obtains blood specimens for clinical laboratory analysis for the patient population served by UMH-West. Distributes specimens promptly to the laboratory, performs waived point-of-care testing and maintains clinical and professional competency.
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Communicates with patients, families and customers using AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank).
- Active participation in Quality Initiatives.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of college (pre-med or pre-MLS) is preferred.
- Certification is preferred, after one year of experience with ASCP, ASPT, NCA, and AMT
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training/ experience is preferred.
