Phlebotomist (Per Diem)

About The Position

Obtains appropriate specimens from patients of all age groups in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings for laboratory test analysis. Specimens may be collected by venipuncture, MMH breath test, micropuncture, or oral swab. Performs clerical functions to maintain a customer-focused, efficient work area and correctly enters test information into the laboratory information system (LIS). Third-shift incumbents will be cross-trained in Lab Aide duties on an as-needed basis to supplement business needs. Certain designated assignments require a valid driver’s license, a driving record free of violations, and completion of a safe-driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of full-time phlebotomy experience is preferred.
For certain designated assignments, maintain a valid driver’s license, a driving record free of violations, and pass a safe-driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter.

Nice To Haves

PBT (ASCP) certification is preferred.
One year of full-time phlebotomy experience is preferred.
