About The Position

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical, laboratory, or healthcare setting.
  • Phlebotomy certification required (CPT, PBT, or equivalent preferred).
  • At least 1 year of EMR experience; eClinicalWorks preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of specimen collection, handling, and processing procedures.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and patient care skills.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling and documentation.
  • Process, prepare, and transport laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
  • Maintain patient comfort and provide excellent customer service during specimen collection.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and proper inventory levels.
  • Record patient information and collection details accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Assist with point-of-care testing and other laboratory-related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support quality patient care.
