Phlebotomist: 36 Hours Per Week (AM)
About The Position
Ascension Alexian Brothers is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team. This role involves collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens. Responsibilities include registering patients, entering data into the computer system, specimen accessioning, answering phones, and processing paperwork. Specimen processing involves preparing specimens for testing and/or shipment. The individual will handle blood, body fluid, and urine specimens, and may perform limited waived and specified non-waived POC tests. In some facilities, this role may also include driving to other locations and participating in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Nice To Haves
- Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
- May be required to travel/drive to other locations

- Acting as a driver and participating in the on-call rotation (in some facilities, as required)
