About The Position
Job Summary: Navigates the electronic medical records system to determine and enter physician orders, enter laboratory results and complete a patient appointment. Draws blood by skin puncture or venipuncture depending upon the test requested by the physician. Labels tubes properly and delivers tubes according to laboratory policy. Performs point of care testing as outlined in the procedure. Obtains patient medication history as needed. Answers telephones and responds to inquiries by patients, other personnel, visitors or others. Participates in training procedures as directed by supervisor. Requirements
- BLS Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
