About The Position

This role involves assisting in determining donor suitability, establishing rapport with donors, responding to donor reactions, monitoring donors and equipment, and operating plasmapheresis machines. The work is performed in a plasma center with potential exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms, as well as extreme cold when working in the plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment is required. The role involves standing for 6 to 8 hours per day, with bending and twisting of the neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day. Frequent hand and foot movement is necessary, along with the ability to make precise coordinated movements. Light lifting of up to 15lbs, with a maximum lift of 50lbs, may be required. Hearing acuity, color perception, and near/far vision are essential. The ability to comprehend and follow instructions, both oral and written, is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
• Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality.
• Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
• Monitor donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product.
• Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.
