About The Position
A-Team Solutions is seeking one Phlebotomist for the American Lake VA Outpatient Clinic in Tacoma, WA. This is a day shift position, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Completed a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) certified phlebotomy training program.
- Minimum 1 year experience in phlebotomy in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- Experience with accessioning of laboratory specimens.
- Experience with processing of laboratory specimens.
- Capable of reading standard operating procedures and adhering them to the current laboratory processes.
- Communicate clearly the daily status and problems about the laboratory output to team members and senior management of the service.
- Computer literate.
- Phlebotomy Technician (PBT), American Society of Clinical Pathology, or eligibility pending within 3 months of start date.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture procedures on outpatient and inpatient veterans.
- Accession and process laboratory specimens in accordance with VA and College of American Pathologists regulations.
- Greet and log specimen orders for outpatient veterans.
