About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team on a PRN/Per Diem basis. Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, CA, is a specialized hospital providing long-term acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly environment where close patient relationships can be formed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.

Nice To Haves

ASCP phlebotomy certification preferred.
Documented training in all areas of the clinical laboratory preferred.
Experience in a clinical laboratory, hospital, or critical care setting for a minimum of one (1) year preferred.
Ability to work with Laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision preferred.
Ability to project a professional image
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all phlebotomy and assisting with the performance of some of the Clinical Laboratory procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist.
Maintain patient result records, laboratory documents, log sheets, make daily charges, as well as chart results.
