About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in Saint Charles, Missouri. The position works in a Patient Service Center or client office, providing customer service, performing specimen collections, and serving as a representative of the company. The role offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization. Travel to additional sites may be needed.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for the benefits described in the posting.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• If work experience is not available, phlebotomy certification or completed training must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and on time.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
