Under general supervision, performs advanced and complex phlebotomy procedures. This PRN position requires a minimum of 2 shifts per month, with varying hours. The role involves drawing blood samples and handling other samples for laboratory analysis, registering patients, ordering tests, verifying order completeness and billing information, and preparing specimens for transport. The Phlebotomist will also maintain accurate records and comply with all hospital and laboratory safety policies and procedures, including the appropriate use of PPE. The position also requires completing annual competency assessments and assuming responsibility for professional development.
