Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Certification in phlebotomy from a recognized program is preferred.

Responsibilities

Acquire quality blood samples through various phlebotomy techniques for patients across all age groups.
Ensure accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of specimens.
Assist in the recovery of patients experiencing adverse reactions and provide rapid response to medical emergencies in the inpatient setting.
Communicate effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer happiness.
Manage sharps and biohazardous materials following regulatory guidelines to protect the safety of patients and staff.
Work fluently with computer programs and systems, and align with HIPAA regulations.
Perform other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
