About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Salina, KS. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, and providing excellent customer service in a Patient Service Center. The position offers opportunities for continuous growth and potential eligibility for a Phlebotomy Incentive Plan with quarterly bonuses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Drawing on pediatrics
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
