About The Position

Vitalant is a non-profit blood and biotherapies healthcare organization seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist. This role is vital for providing clinical services to communities nationwide, ensuring a safe blood supply, and supporting specialized laboratory services and research. The Mobile Phlebotomist will be a key member of Vitalant's donor care team, responsible for setting up blood drives at various locations within a 200-mile radius. The primary goal is to create comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for donors, directly contributing to saving lives and making a significant impact on the community. Vitalant is one of the nation's largest organizations in its field, serving over 900 hospitals and hosting approximately 60,000 blood drives annually. The company offers extensive paid phlebotomy training for individuals starting their careers or those with prior experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel as required
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• 100% attendance required for the 10-week Paid Mandatory Training program

Responsibilities

• Assist Vitalant's donor care team in setting up blood drives at locations within a 200-mile range.
• Create comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for donors.
• Greet donors, keeping them comfortable and informed.
• Perform blood draws (paid training provided).
• Manage accurate and organized donor information.
• Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
