As part of a team of phlebotomists, provides the collection of blood specimens for all areas of the Health System as ordered and requested. Freeman is the only locally owned, not-for-profit health system in the area, focusing on meeting the health and wellness needs of those we serve as well as the needs of our employees. Freeman in Joplin, Missouri, is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to an area that includes more than 450,000 from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Freeman Health System includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital and Ozark Center – the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services – as well as two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and a variety of specialty services. Laboratory Freeman West results over 3.53 million tests a year and issues over 550 units of blood each month. Other Labs at Freeman include the Cornell Beshore Cancer Institute Lab and Freeman Neosho Laboratory. Draw stations are located inside Freeman East, the Bentlage Building and the Women’s Pavilion. There are over 140 employees in the Labs at Freeman and all of them are highly talented and patient-centric individuals.
