About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to work across clinics and locations in the Lake Elsinore, California area. The role offers experience with a variety of patients and teams and opportunities to develop skills and grow within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours varying between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; additional hours and rotating weekends may be required. Float incentives include an additional $1.50 per hour and mileage reimbursement. The role may also be eligible for a quarterly performance-based incentive bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
California state-issued phlebotomy license (CPT); an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the California Department of Health at the time of hire may meet this requirement.
At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience with geriatric and pediatric patients.
Pass a standardized color blindness test.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of phlebotomy experience.
Current or prior experience with Labcorp.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
