About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist-Hospitals to join our team in Boston MA. This role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc., and performing data entry of patient information accurately and timely. The position also includes processing billing information and collecting payments when required, preparing specimens for testing and analysis, maintaining patient and specimen information logs, and providing superior customer service. Administrative and clerical duties may be necessary, and travel to additional sites might be required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years’ experience as an in-patient phlebotomist
  • Current or Previous LabCorp experience
