As a Phlebotomist, you will perform collection of blood specimens from patients of all ages and transports specimens to the laboratory for analysis. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrating correct procedure for completion of venipuncture and skin puncture procedures for patients of all ages.
Accurately labeling tubes immediately after collection. Never pre-label tubes.
Following the laboratory’s procedures for specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transport.
Demonstrating adequate understanding of proficiency in using the computer systems.
Performing laboratory support functions as applicable.
Assisting nursing units with requests for specimen collection, specimen transport, and needed supplies.
Working flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
