About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 26732 Crown Valley Parkway, Suite 100 , Mission Viejo, CA 92691. Work Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 5:30pm, additional hours and rotating weekends may be required. At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. We are currently seeking a phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to attend 2‑week training in California

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
  • Current or prior experience with Labcorp
  • In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
