About The Position
At CoreCivic, we do more than manage inmates, we care for people. CoreCivic is currently seeking Phlebotomists who have a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.
- Must possess a current certification from an approved formal nursing assistant program or equivalent program.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Properly identifies patient and selects venipuncture equipment appropriate for test, draws blood specimens.
- Monitor patient for negative reactions, and take appropriate measures to alleviate patient anxiety.
- Properly label all specimens and follow laboratory procedures for requisitions.
- Adhere to strict antiseptic techniques for patient safety.
