About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Hospital team in Tualatin, OR. This role involves performing blood collections, managing patient data, processing billing, and ensuring specimen integrity. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and acting as the face of the company, with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
