Requirements

  • Completed an accredited phlebotomy program
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Nice To Haves

  • National certification being preferred
  • Previous experience in a health-related field
  • Phlebotomy Cert

Responsibilities

  • Help the Laboratory obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis so they can provide accurate laboratory services vital for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency department patients.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, obtaining and/or preparing specimens for analysis.
  • Use a state-of-the-art wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety.
  • Actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.
