About The Position
Valley Medical Group is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their Laboratory team at the Northampton Health Center. This is a dynamic environment opportunity serving a diverse community across four locations in the Pioneer Valley. The role requires the ability to collect blood from patients of all ages through venipuncture, with excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in computers, data entry, and equipment operation.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program
- Previous customer service or medical office experience
- High School graduate or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- CPT preferred, but not required
- EMR experience preferred, Athena experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Collecting samples from patients of all ages
- Processing and accessions of clinical specimens
- Checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting patients
