About The Position
Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their Lab Support team. This contingent position is located at FMC Main Campus in Lancaster, OH. The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting and processing patient specimens, performing venous and capillary collections on patients of all ages, and providing staff support for outpatient collection locations. The role also involves order entry, specimen processing, performing EKGs, culture collections, BATs, Chain-of-Custody Drug Collections, and specimen collection for nursing homes and community events. Maintaining competency and performing customer service and clerical tasks are also part of the role.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a certification eligible phlebotomy program or employer sponsored training program.
- Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
Nice To Haves
- National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
- Previous experience in phlebotomy preferred.
Responsibilities
