Phlebotomist: 40 Hours Per Week (AM)
About The Position
Ascension Saint Alexius is seeking a Phlebotomist for a full-time position. This role involves collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens. Responsibilities include patient registration, data entry, specimen accessioning, answering phones, and processing paperwork. Specimen processing involves preparing specimens for testing and shipment. The individual will handle blood, body fluid, and urine specimens, and may perform waived and specified non-waived POC tests. In some facilities, this role may also involve driving and participating in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- May be required to travel/drive to other locations

- Acting as a driver and participating in the on-call rotation (in some facilities, as required)
