Phlebotomist - Per Diem
About The Position
The Phlebotomist obtains appropriate specimens from patients of all age groups in inpatient and outpatient settings for laboratory analysis. Specimens may be collected by venipuncture, MMH breath test, micropuncture, or oral swab. The role also performs clerical functions to maintain an efficient, customer-focused work area and correctly enters test information into the laboratory information system (LIS). The Greater Manchester Region includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General, a multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- For certain designated assignments, possess and maintain a valid driver's license as outlined in the Eastern Connecticut Health Network's Environment of Care Safety Policies and Procedures #110, maintain a driving record free of violations, and pass a safe driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- PBT (ASCP) certification preferred.
- One year of full-time phlebotomy experience preferred.
Responsibilities
