Phlebotomist - Hospital Float
About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Nevada to cover hospitals in Las Vegas and surrounding areas. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, and providing customer service in various hospital settings. Requirements
- Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license
- Application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 1 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Drawing on pediatrics to geriatrics
- Working in a hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
