Phlebotomist - Float (Rockport/Portland, TX)
About The Position
Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA, is hiring a part-time Phlebotomist Float serving Rockport and Portland, Texas. The role travels between worksites and provides patient care and customer-focused service at multiple locations. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture on patients of all ages; collecting and preparing non-blood specimens; ensuring specimens are processed and labeled properly and tests are ordered correctly; and supporting safety, compliance, and quality control. The position has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees receive training on reasonable safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only as required to perform their duties. The role is scheduled for 25 hours per week and is benefit eligible.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Valid driver's license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
Responsibilities
