This is a part-time, 0.0 position for a Phlebotomist on the 2nd shift. The candidate must be able to work at least one holiday. The role involves verifying patient identification, assessing patient reactions to specimen procurement, performing venipuncture and collecting other specimens from patients of all age groups, and ensuring the completion and proper labeling of specimens. The Phlebotomist will also perform limited testing, answer phones, assist with inventory, support billing functions, accept and sort specimens, package and track specimens for transport, process specimens for testing, respond to specimen procurement requests, order and verify test requests, document information for quality assurance, run quality control checks, notify providers of stat/critical results, perform laboratory result entry, conduct proficiency testing, review reports, and instruct employees and students in phlebotomy and related functions. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care.
