About The Position
Seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a fast-paced acute care hospital. The role focuses on blood specimen collection, patient safety, and accurate documentation while following clinical protocols.
Requirements
- 2+ years of phlebotomy experience (hospital/lab/blood bank)
- CPT Certification
- AHA BLS Certification
- High School Diploma/GED + Phlebotomy training
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in high-volume hospital settings
- Knowledge of lab systems and specimen handling
- Flexibility with shifts and weekends
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Label and process specimens accurately
- Ensure patient comfort and safety
- Follow infection control guidelines
- Maintain proper documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare staff
- Handle and transport specimens properly
