About The Position

Collects, processes, and delivers specimens to appropriate sections of the Laboratory for testing as ordered by the Physician. Actively participates in outstanding customer service.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Must be comfortable with fast paced environment and be able to multitask.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through interactions with teams, staff, and management.
• Exercise independent judgement and can work under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy training is preferred but not required.
• ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required.
• Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred but not required.
• Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, processes, and delivers specimens to appropriate sections of the Laboratory for testing as ordered by the Physician.
• Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples correctly.
• Establishes proficiency and accuracy with laboratory EMR system for accurate order entry, faxing and printing, and scheduling.
• Shows accountability by being trustworthy, responsible, and dependable while taking ownership of actions.
