About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Johns Creek, GA. This is a Casual/Per Diem position where hours will be "as needed" and the start and end times will vary. The Phlebotomist will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc., and perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. The role also involves processing billing information and collecting payments when required, preparing all collected specimens for testing and analysis, and maintaining patient and specimen information logs. Providing superior customer service to all patients and performing administrative and clerical duties as necessary are key aspects of the role. Travel to additional sites may be required. At Labcorp, the Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and being the face of the company. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 1 year or more phlebotomy experience
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)
