About The Position

The Phlebotomist is responsible for verifying request, patient, and specimen information. This role involves drawing blood from adult, pediatric, and/or infant patients and processing specimens according to established procedures and techniques. The Phlebotomist will also follow in-process quality control procedures, maintain related records, and remain aware of the patient's emotional and physiological condition, reporting any abnormal conditions to the appropriate personnel. This position performs related duties as required and is considered an ADA Essential Function.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year Phlebotomy experience OR Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant education program, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in Phlebotomy from a National Organization, preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory computer, preferred.

Responsibilities
