About The Position

This position verifies request and patient information. The Phlebotomist draws blood from adult, pediatric and/or infant patients and processes specimens following established procedures and techniques. The role also involves following in-process quality control procedures, maintaining related records, and remaining aware of the patient's emotional/physiological condition, reporting abnormal conditions to the proper people. Performs related duties, as required. This is an ADA Essential Function position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum of one (1) year Phlebotomy experience OR Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant education program, required.
• 1 yr of hospital setting experience

Nice To Haves

• Certified in Phlebotomy from a National Organization, preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory computer, preferred.
