This role involves assisting in determining donor suitability, establishing rapport with donors, responding to donor reactions, monitoring donors and equipment, and operating plasmapheresis machines. The work is performed in a plasma center with potential exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms, as well as extreme cold when working in the plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment is required. The role involves standing for 6 to 8 hours per day, with bending and twisting of the neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day. Frequent hand and foot movement is expected, along with light lifting (up to 15lbs, maximum 50lbs) and reaching below shoulder height. Hearing acuity, color perception, and near/far vision are essential. The ability to comprehend and follow instructions, both oral and written, is crucial.
