About The Position

The Phlebotomist is responsible for providing a positive patient experience while collecting and processing quality specimens accurately to support diagnosis and treatment. Shift Times: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Requirements

• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification
• Experience working with neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Candidate permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Perform venipuncture accurately while minimizing patient discomfort.
• Properly identify, label, register, and accession specimens according to established policies.
• Understand appropriate needles, anticoagulants, specimen handling, and test preparation.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
• Assist with specimen processing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
