About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Newnan, GA. This is a Casual/Per Diem position with "as needed" hours and variable start and end times. The role involves performing blood collections, specimen processing, data entry, billing, customer service, and administrative duties. Phlebotomists may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which offers a quarterly bonus based on performance. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, while those working less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible for the 401(k) Plan. Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

3 years or more of phlebotomy experience
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation
Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
