Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Alpharetta, GA. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling patient data and payments, and providing excellent customer service. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
  • 3 Years or more experience as a phlebotomist.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years or more of phlebotomy experience
  • 5 years or more very strong venipuncture background.
  • 5 years or more experience in high volume fast-paced environment completing 24-35 draws.
  • 2 years or more of OBGYN experience.
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
