About The Position

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, dedicated to helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions to advance care. The company is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in Cumming, GA. This role involves performing blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting various specimens (drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests), accurate and timely data entry of patient information, processing billing, collecting payments, and preparing specimens for testing. The Phlebotomist will also maintain patient and specimen information logs, provide superior customer service, and perform administrative and clerical duties as needed, including travel to additional sites. Working in either a Patient Service Center or Client office, the Phlebotomist will be the face of the company, providing exceptional customer service and skilled specimen collections. Labcorp offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization, and Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities
