About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist Representative I - Hospital in Ellsworth, ME. This role is a hospital-based position at Northern Lights Hospital. Represents the face of our company to patients within the hospital systems at Quest Diagnostics, both as part of their routine health management or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The Phlebotomist I draws quality blood samples from patients while following established practices and procedures. The Phlebotomist I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The Phlebotomist I will demonstrate Quest Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants will be assigned to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday, with hours varying between 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
- Must be available for rotational weekends.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Draws quality blood samples from patients while following established practices and procedures.
- Explains procedures to patients.
- Draws blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
- Demonstrates Quest Leadership Behaviors.
- Focuses on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
