About The Position

We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Phlebotomist to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing front desk draws and assisting with pick-ups or draws at Treasure Valley Hospital as needed. The ideal candidate will be personable, adaptable, and efficient—ready to contribute to a positive team environment while ensuring excellent patient care. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
On-the-job phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
If no prior professional phlebotomy experience, must have completed hands-on phlebotomy training within the past year
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
Clean driving record
Excellent communication skills; able to interact professionally with patients and team members
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively
Must be able to distinguish color and pass vision acuity test in compliance with CAP regulations
Must be able to pass a drug screening in compliance with Treasure Valley Hospital requirements.

Responsibilities

Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.
Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening.
Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.
Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.
Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.
