About The Position

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Phlebotomist to join our team at a busy family medicine clinic. This fast-paced role requires someone who is reliable, organized, adaptable, and committed to providing excellent patient care to a diverse patient population of all ages, including pediatrics. Responsibilities include phlebotomy for clinic and walk-in patients, point-of-care testing (POCT), resulting, data entry, and quality control documentation. Pediatric and POCT experience are preferred, and experience with Epic is a plus. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who works well in a collaborative team environment and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Patient-focused, helpful, and proactive approach to supporting patients and coworkers
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills and comfort with data entry
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
  • Reliable, dependable, and adaptable
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.
  • Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening.
  • Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.
  • Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
  • Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.
  • Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.
  • Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.
