About The Position
The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens. This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week on an evening shift from 10 am to 6:30 pm, with every other weekend required.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental procedures.
- Accurately label and prepare specimens for testing or transport.
- Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systems.
- Deliver specimens to testing areas.
- Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies.
- Conduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain a safe work environment.
