About The Position

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Phlebotomist/Processor with excellent people skills to enhance our team. Ideal candidates will have a collaborative spirit and a commitment to supporting both our patients and our team’s goals. This role involves administrative duties, technical responsibilities such as performing venipuncture and preparing samples, accurate data management, specimen handling, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and policies. Flexibility in covering different sites and reliability in attendance are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior hands-on experience in phlebotomy and/or pre-analytical specimen processing required
Ability to pass a standardized color vision test required
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
Clean driving record
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn laboratory information systems
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet turnaround time expectations
Dependability, adaptability, and willingness to support evolving laboratory needs
Commitment to patient safety, quality, and confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification is preferred

Responsibilities

Performing venipuncture for blood collection
Obtaining additional specimen types as required
Preparing all samples for lab testing and screening
Providing excellent customer service
Answering phones
Monitoring for instrumentation alarms
Verifying specimen information
Performing data entry
Properly identifying patient information
Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity
Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules
Participating in quality assurance
Covering work shifts at different sites as needed
Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance
