About The Position

This position is for an ER Phlebotomist at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, PRN, Nights. Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is a modern, state-of-the-art 295-bed acute care facility, offering an advanced neurosurgery program with Spine Center accreditation amongst other specialty services. Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred.
An approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy Preferred
Certification from ASCP or NHA Preferred
Formal Phlebotomy Training Preferred

Responsibilities

Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.
Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.
